The Annual meeting started with a delicious potluck meal.
After the meal and a short business meeting, we were entertained with a variety of monologues relating to books.
Whitney Derendinger – “The New Technology” – At a secret meeting of an underground organization a few decades in the future, a new technology is revealed.

Bruce Bradely – “Cuban Poetry” – The true story of a writer’s attempt to smuggle banned poetry over the Canadian border into the US.
Jess Schuknecht – “Singed” – A man discovers that being a children’s librarian isn’t such a nice, quiet job after all.
Michael Herald – “On Toronto” – In a fictional news show, we learn of the movement to ban a popular children’s book.
